Difference in The Stages of Motivation for change Depending on The Severity of Alcohol Addiction - Focusing on Jeju Island -

Abstract
This study examined the drinking severity of Jeju Island for the identifying whether it has been showed as similar with earlier research in other areas. Also, this study verified how to be applied to motivational subtypes for change classified from Young Min Chun in Jeju and the relationship between drinking severity and motivational subtypes for change. The stages of motivation for change was not referred to earlier study in that recognition factor was too low. Only taking steps factor has difference with showing high, normal, and low. No difference of drinking severity in taking steps factor appeared in followed by the drinking severity as taking steps and ambivalence factors. However, there was difference of drinking severity in ambivalence factor between low and high. Therefore, this study is expected to be used in development of intervention enhancing the effect of treatment and guidance of treatment matching treatment motivation in alcohol addict in Jeju.
